The Malta Gaming Authority (hereinafter the ‘Authority’) is hereby notifying that Star World Limited, remote gaming licence MGA/CL1/1020/2014, has been suspended as of 31st July, 2017.

Star World Limited has thus been directed to indefinitely suspend all gaming operations, cease to register new players, suspend all transactions on all websites, including deposits and withdrawals, and submit all data and documentation requested by the Authority

Reference is made to the consultation document published on 10 July 2017 by the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU) and the Malta Gaming Authority, on the application of anti-money laundering and countering the funding of terrorism obligations to the remote gaming sector.
